The digital coded ONYX PRO with preset and individually adaptable endurance and interval training ranges is new to the marketplace. The training zones can either be calculated in line with IAT (individual anaerobic threshold) or maximum heart rate.
The detailed analysis of the training units is ideal for all professional and ambitious sportspeople. A magnification function for improved readability and a new kind of navigation for intuitive menu guidance are innovations that characterise this Heart Rate Monitor. 7 memory locations, a lap counter (50 laps with average and maximum heart rate indications), a light and a battery change compartment round off the features of this precise heart rate watch.

Aiming for marathon success
The marathon function of ONYX Pro enables a runner to accurately check and evaluate the heart rate and split times during a marathon. The runner can store the values every kilometre by pressing a button and analyse the individual heart rates and split times after the marathon. The marathon function has a memory with a total of 43 positions and is automatically aware that the last value stored only measures 195 m, not a kilometre (total distance of a marathon is 42,195 m). As well as the full marathon, the function is also set up for the half and quarter marathon distances.
In order to be able to properly pace yourself, a speed table provides you with optimum guidance. It helps the runner to find the right starting pace and reach his/her set goal.
Example: In order to run a marathon in under three hours, you need to run every kilometre in an average of about 4:15 minutes.

INTUITIVE MENU NAVIGATION
Easy handling by means of a menu. Pressing one of the top two buttons brings up the menu with the function of both buttons. (same operating principle on all ONYX models)
VERSATILE TRAINING PROGRAMMES
A wide variety of training programmes were developed through collaboration with Freiburg University (Germany), specifying the duration and intensity of the training session. Up to 4 types of stamina training, 3 interval types, plus marathon and lap training are included depending on the ONYX model. In addition, each heart rate computer is equipped with a freely programmable training mode.
TRAINING BASED ON MAX HR OR IAT (ONYX PRO)
You can choose between calculating the training zones based on MAX HR or IAT (individual anaerobic threshold). The very precise IAT setting requires a lactate test, which can be done at the doctors or your gym.
DIGITALLY CODED TRANSMISSION
On all ONYX models, the new chest belt transmits coded data packages to the receiver in the watch. Disruption to training in a group is no longer possible.
