2. Sling length
3. Quantity

Carabiner Gates

Carabiner gates are available in three common styles named straight, bent, and wire. Remember that, there is always a trade off involves in the strength, weight, and ease of use as to which carabiner gate you choose for climbing.

Sling Length

• Longer sport routes require 16 to 18 quickdraws
• You will require 24 or more quickdraws if you are heading towards exceptionally long routes
• You can also carry a couple of few extra quickdraws on your harness.
