Modelled on the ibex, which demonstrates top climbing performance with its sickle-shaped hoof.

The Climbing Zone on the tip of the sole also underscores this.

Protection against wetness is guaranteed by the GORE-TEX® Performance Comfort Footwear membrane.

The sharp-edged, rough and medium-height profile of the Capricorn concept sole developed in collaboration with vibram® produces the highest grip on fine outcrops and edges. Modelled on the ibex, which demonstrates top climbing performance with its sickle-shaped hoof.The Climbing Zone on the tip of the sole also underscores this.

Frog Grip

-Sole profile technology developed in co-operation of Mammut with vibram®

-Hexagon lugs produce highest grip on all undergrounds

-Weight reduction owing to optimal arrangement of materials

The hexagonal lugs of the FrogGrip sole developed in cooperation with vibram® ensure optimum grip on all terrains. Mammut® took its cue from nature to integrate the hexagonal surface texture found on frogs- feet into the new sole.

Spider Grip

-Newly developed sole profile technology from Mammut derived from the climbing shoe

-Large smooth areas provide for maximum grip

-Small flexible ribs provide grip in rough terrain

The large, smooth areas of this soft rubber sole produce the best grip on all undergrounds. Just like a spider, this means that the wearer can launch into spontaneous fun climbing sessions on city walls. Flexible ribs arranged in a web pattern across the sole ensure safe footing on more challenging terrain.

Motion Control

This patented Mammut technology is an anatomically shaped heel cap which prevents the foot from twisting outwards by means of a reinforced interior. Handling- semi-visible or fully integrated.

Premium quality foam cushioning which is worked into the instep, shin, and ankles of many Mammut models. The foam has excellent elasticity and returns to its original shape after being subject to intensive loads.

Power Transmission

The Power Transmission integrated into the heel cushioning element works like a spring against vertically acting forces, thus reinforcing the cushioning effect. This helps to reduce the total weight.
