The North Face Venture Baja Blue Woman:
Editors of Backpacker Magazine awarded this jacket recognition for its eco-conscious construction. Made of an environmentally friendly membrane, this waterproof, breathable outer layer with modern lines will protect you from rain year round. Features zippered underarm vents for maximum air flow, an attached adjustable hood with a drawcord, and a center front zip and Velcro® closure.
HyVent® is a superior waterproof, breathable technology that uses a polyurethane (PU) coating for a multi-layer formula that provides waterproof protection, moisture permeability and durability. All of the HyVent® variations are waterproof. Lab tested. Athlete approved.
HyVent® 2-Layer (Ideal use: Climbing, Skiing)
Two-layer construction made with a durable woven outer layer to repel wet weather and protect from abrasion, while the inner-layer utilizes a polyurethane coating and micro-pores to channel water vapor to the outer layer (preventing you from overheating).
HyVent 2.5-Layer (Ideal use: Running, Exploration)
Using the same technology as the original HyVent® fabric, this material reduces the thickness of the third layer, allowing for a more breathable fabric. This material allows water vapor molecules to escape while preventing water from entering.
HyVent® DT (Ideal use: Climbing, Skiing)
This fabric eliminates the need for an interior liner, providing a more packable, breathable, and lightweight option. Created by applying a polyurethane (PU) coating with a DT print matrix, this acts as a dry-touch, half-layer coating. The DT half layer adds durability and comfort by physically separating the HyVent® DT PU coating from the skin.
HyVent® DT EC (Ideal use: Climbing, Skiing)
An alternative to the use of petroleum-derived materials, this material uses natural castor oil from beans, reducing the use of synthetic components by 50 percent compared to conventional fabric membranes.
