The curved, thin profile back panel keeps the load close to the body for a more stable carry, a polyethylene support frame provides support and flexibility, and M-bar aluminum reinforcements help transfer and distribute the bag load for a longer period of time. long-lasting comfort and increased balance while facilitating freedom of movement. Khamski employs two specific fabrics that are selected and positioned to provide the desired performance at the desired location. The design focuses on reinforcing areas of high wear and responding to performance requirements in the most exposed areas. The main body of the bag is designed with nylon 6,6 N420p-HT very resistant to plain weave. This high tenacity fabric has already been put to the test on other Arc Teryx backpacks and its durability and robustness are undeniable. The N400r-AC² fabric is very sturdy and treated with a urethane coating on moisture-exposed areas for impervious protection against water and snow with a very high resistance to tears and abrasion.

A DESIGN THAT MADE OF THE PATH:
Arc Teryx has perfected Khamskis design with a hands-on approach, spending time in the field and listening to mountain professionals. The result of this work lies in the most efficient combination of materials and an intuitive approach to the position of tools and equipment. The front pocket includes pockets for a shovel and its handle, a probe and skins. The partial diagonal opening prevents its contents from escaping and falling into the snow. A drainage hole helps evacuate the moisture accumulated by shovels and skins, an outer padding protects the material from impacts and ski edges. The Khamski also has an inside pocket for a snowboard kit, a mounting system for two ice axes and two loops to attach to an anchor point in the snow. The removable flap is ideal for keeping glasses, keys, a hat, food and a light warm coat.
