Little versatile

Although this product does its job perfectly, for little difference in price and a weight difference of only 10 gr. the atc guide has many more utilities. Although at the beginning one is tempted by the cheapest equipment, when advancing in the sport one prefers to have spent a little more and not spend 2 times.

This atc is super handy, fits all sizes of ropes making it more versatile than a gri gri in most ways. Black diamond is quality you can trust, this atc will last you a life time if you use it correctly.

Super smooth

One of the smoothest devices I've used to belay with. Even when using thick ropes or those with kinks, this device was as smooth as butter. Unlike previous devices, it effortlessly grips the rope when climbers want you to 'take' or come off of the wall suddenly - good when you're belaying someone heavier than you. Very light-weight too. Paired this with the Black Diamond Gridlock Screwgate carabiner.

Nearly as good bite as my GriGri2. Much lighter. Do it all for single pitch. Feel very confident belaying and rapping with this device.
