Black Diamond’s Distance Carbon Z is ideal for the fastpacking adventurers of the world who go far, fast. With 100% carbon construction, the Carbon Z weighs a paltry 9 ounces and features a three-section foldable design that allows for fast-response deployment, so you’ll never miss out on an FKT because you’re fiddling with your poles. Non-scarring rubber Tech Tips and a lightweight, EVA foam grip round out this pole as a lightweight detail-driven pillar in pole tech.

i´d tried these before on loan so not a difficult choice to buy at the good value price from runner inn. light, strong when used correctly, but fragile if used after being crushed or bashed. lightweight does not mean they are terribly tough, it´s just a trade-off. unfortunately i ordered 2 items together and the shipment was delayed by a week without update ,while awaiting the other item. customer service sorted this out when prompted in a professional manner. they did a very prompt ,cancellation and refund on the other item. maybe a process improvement to identify stuck orders? happy overall though.

These poles are great... I had used a pair for a long trek last summer and fell in love with how light they are. I like how they lock as well. I have used flip lock poles before and have had them slip. There is no way possible for these to slip. Very solid product.
