SESSION are the new BLACK DIAMOND climbing and mountaineering shoes, they are made of polyester with qualities of breathability, moisture absorption and quick drying.
It features a sticky rubber sole with Black Diamond Black Label-Street technology. It has a reinforced rubber toe cap for greater durability and resistance. Its EVA rubber midsole provides comfort and cushioning.
In the heel area there is an elastic strap that helps to put the shoes on and take them off. It has a lace fastening system for a personalized fit.
Engineered to send in style, the Black Diamond Session combines ultimate comfort with performance features that seamlessly transitions from the gym to the crag and then out to the city streets. You’ll first notice how the shoe slips on thanks to the stretch-fit heel for easy on/off transitions. That heel also folds down with ease for slip on functionality. Then the integrated bootie wraps your foot like a sock, while the breathable knit upper regulates the temperature and stretches where you need while on the move. The tuned EVA midsole keeps you cushioned and stable, while the Black Diamond BlackLabel-Street sticky rubber adds grip for approaches or commutes. Finally, webbing loops provide tagging or stowing options for trails that end at the cliff.

These shoes manage to be super comfy and very supportive at the same time, they also look great which is a bonus. The seem to be well made and durable, time will tell.

Very much a niche product in that for rougher terrain, you will likely need something more robust, but otherwise an excellent compromise between street wear and lighter trail. The fit is quite snug, but that is probably intentional. That might be down to the elasticated heel and inner, which feels strange at first, but you quickly get accustomed to it. The sole is more rigid than a standard trainer and slightly adhesive to give a better grip. In terms of use on the trail, the toe protection looks good, but the upper is fabric, so that will not provide much protection. The choice of fabric does make it much lighter and comfortable in warm weather. Overall, a great compromise choice that almost offers the best of both options.

I have them for a short time but, for now, I find them very comfortable and they seem to be of good quality. Hope the durability is good. On sale, I consider it to be fair price.

Quite comfortable to remove and put on, so they are perfect for sport climbing. In addition, they are more beautiful than in the photo, the truth. The rubber seems quite sticky but I haven't had a chance to test it yet.

Great city shoes, and super comfortable. The cool thing about them is that, you can quickly use them as slippers, and when they laced up, they also stretchy, so you can just put the shoes back on without the need to lace them back again. the only thing I would be worried about is the glued front rubber to the mesh material, hopefully they are durable.

good shoes... fit is slightly on the narrow side but have already walked 20kms a day in them since I got them like 3 days and they are very comfortable. Have not played with the press down heal yet or used them on a climbing wall (as per the vid) but I am sure they will be good as they are so grippy.
