This time BLACK DIAMOND presents the new STORMLINE STRETCH RAIN mountaineering jacket, it is ideal for winter days as it provides greater impermeability, breathability and wind resistance, providing the necessary protection.
It presents a regular design with adjustable velcro cuffs. It features a flat seam construction for comfort. Features a fully laminated full front zipper.
It has an internally lined hood with a reinforced edge for greater visibility. To protect your hands, it has two side pockets with zippers. Its bottom hem is adjustable with an elastic drawstring. It has reinforced underarms for greater durability.
Built to take on the worst downpours, the StormLine Stretch Rain Shell is our fully featured rain shell. By combining our BD.dry™ waterproof/breathable solution with a full feature set and highly stretchable fabric, the StormLine provides reliable protection when the weather breaks.

Jacket bought in black size M just like pants. Jacket size ok (also with midlayer underneath) only pants exchanged for L. Not tested in the rain yet but material feels nice. The stretch is really great. No annoying crack. Has pockets, nice and wide at the neck so buff possible. Zippers under the armpits for ventilation.

I spent a great deal of time researching before buying this jacket and I'm glad I did. It's a lovely piece of kit, waterproof, very light, and very understated. The fit seems great, and very generous, but I'm grateful for that. Very highly recommended - I bought the black, and am considering getting another in one of the brighter colours too. Whilst a zip guard would be a very grateful addition, I have a long beard and as yet haven't found any problems at all with snagging or catching.
