The picture does not do it justice, very thin material really nice, material is nearly see through but it it is not once on. great for summer riding also has a zip pocket on the back

Is it an undershirt or is the fabric also suitable for use as a top for outdoor cycling, with a summer shorts?

This top is suitable for outdoor cycling as a top however it does not have pockets at the back like normal cycling tops. It does have a little pocket at the side possibly suitable for holding a key. I found this top to be true to size. If you do not require pockets it is a very nice top with nice fabric. I hope this helps.
