Great shoe

Just received my dolomite steinbock approach HP gortex boots. I was after something unique; a light waterproof hiking shoe for light to moderate rocky and muddy terrain.... and that few had here in the US. Looks great and very unique, has a very euro feel. Quality of workmanship appears very good. Bottom treads are not too big. Lacing system is nice--can adjust where you need and go down pretty far on the toe box. Only thing I wish is that the aglets were metal all the way down. Bottom laces 1-5 are through leather, the remaining top 4 are metal. The sole is stiff but not overly so. Nice solid rubber surrounding the whole bottom of the boot. Should provide good protection on rocky, stumpy terrain. Right now just wearing them out and about to break them in. They don´t feel like they will need much break-in time. Feel pretty comfortable out of the box. We shall see how they perform in the real world soon. Overall very happy with the shoe.
