Bought this vest in 2018 and totally fell in love with it the first time I used it. It can be used in both long and short distance training or race. Fits comfortably and stably even on a tiny person like me. I use it every weekend for over three and a half years, and it finally started to show obvious fading, worn and tears very recently. Just placed my order and hope to get a new one soon, for there’s no other hydration vest performing as well as it.

Is the evolution 7l backpack that is supplied the recent 2023 model? (changes rear accessibility for poles) however it has a pocket with zip closure on the front? (to be understood as "hidden pocket" in the product description?)

Yes. It is different from previous versions. You can put the poles in the back and there is also a zip in the front. It is really perfect for long and short distances.
