Handcrafted in Germany. Our most popular hard-duty backpacking boot, and a cult favorite among hardcore backpackers and hunters. Super stable, this boot is ideal for carrying heavy (50+ lbs.) loads, over long distances in rugged terrain and extreme weather conditions. Ankle is a touch softer than the original Tibet.
Features:
- UPPER: Nubuk leather.
- LINING: Seamless, waterproof GORE-TEX® lining reduces hot spots. A LOWA patented design.
- CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM: Perforations in the boots lining allows air to enter, pumping heat and moisture back out.
- TONGUE STUD/X-LACING: Patent pending tongue stud allows for better pressure distribution.
- C4 TONGUE: Anatomically contoured to cradle the foot in comfort.
- FOOTBED: Balance footbed with breathable top layer and slow reacting foam provides fit customization. Transports moisture away from the foot, minimizes friction and reduces fatigue.
- MIDSOLE: PU with SPS Dynamic - designed to help control over-pronation and supination, reducing fatigue and potential injury when covering long distances.
- OUTSOLE: Vibram Masai.
- STABILIZER: 5mm nylon, full length and width with a PU layer for total support underfoot.
- High wall rubber rand.
- Strap-on crampon compatible.

Mrs., Mr., Can the 4 closing loops on the back of the foot be fixed and stopped by the last self-locking loop (the 4th) at the top to ensure that the metatarsals are up the neck of the foot is well blocked (and sometimes even walking on the train or the car without fixing the ankle and the top of the ankle.

Absolutely yes. I kept them loose on the plane and secure on the descents. They are certainly heavy boots (like kg) but absolutely performing for intense activity.
