The shorts offer top performance as both a harness and an item of clothing: optimal comfort, thanks to the Mammut Split Webbing (patent pending) integrated in the waistband, and inner shorts allowing maximum freedom of movement thanks to a combination of lightweight and stretchable materials. Shorts are very comfortable. It´s great to just go to your location and start climbing. Though you still need to wait for your friends to put on their harness. If you´re belaying, just run your ´biner through the same two loop you would use to tie your rope in. These shorts are more for gym and top roping. If you fall you can feel some discomfort at the thighs and a little around the waste. If you´re hang dogging, you won´t last too long. Just don´t fall. Other than that, the shorts are very comfortable and you may second guess if you´re even wearing a harness. Before you climb too high, do a couple practice falls to get use to it. It feels a bit different than your typical harness.
