- This aim of this type of construction is to create the shaft of a shoe using a material with as few seams as possible. This provides greater robustness, thanks to the lower number of contact surfaces and reduced overall weight.

Inner Lining

- The three-dimensional and multi-layered synthetic micro-fibre fabric has a honeycomb-shaped basic structure which creates a cushioning and shape-supporting effect. The composition of the fibres provides high water absorption properties combined with optimum drying performance. The fabric also offers very good abrasion and pilling resistance.

Soles:
The development is based on the very successful Reptilia sole with its claws and flexible ribs. For the Iguana sole, the focus was also on lightness, speed and aggressiveness. The small Climbing Zone and the Stone Shield to provide protection from penetrating sharp stones, together with the EVA Superlight wedge protected with Kevlar fabric and integrated PU Shock Absorber, are clear clues as to where these soles feel most at home: in rocky, alpine terrain.

Base Fit:
This patented Mammut technology delivers exceptional power transfer from the lacing section to the sole. The concept is based on free-sliding bands that are anchored to the insole. This results in enhanced safety and freedom from blisters, since the foot cannot slip around inside the boot.

Rolling Concept:
The patented Mammut sole concept with customized support and cushioning to support natural foot roll, and thus prevent fatigue (danger of twisting).

FeetMap:
- The Mammut FeetMap System addresses the very different zones of the foot: those that sweat, that feel the cold and that are pressure-sensitive. Mammut FeetMap locates cushioning, warming, cooling, slip and non-slip lining materials in all the right places.
