What is it?

The pinnacle of 2.5 layer lamination technology Marmot NanoPro Membrain is our most comfortable waterproof/breathable technology ever. NanoPros superior microporous structure is dynamically air permeable, allowing for air exchange to help shed excess moisture vapor without compromising the waterproofness or windproofness of the garment.



How does it work?

Marmot NanoPro Membrain utilizes a new microporous lamination technology with a pore structure that is 200% smaller than previous generations. These very small pores (three microns in size) are very densely packed allowing for enhanced breathability while maintaining excellent waterproofness. This pore structure is also air permeable allowing for dynamic air exchange. This air permeability combined with the enhanced breathability creates a fabric that is incredible comfort through a wide range of actives.



To further improve breathability NanoPro Membrain is laminated together using a new advance process that reduces the amount of adhesive necessary to bond the membrane with the fabric. This new lamination process combined with the thinness of the lamination helps to maximum breathability, and greatly improves the drape and hand of the fabric.

What is it?

PrimaLoft® Silver Insulation Active brings a whole new level of performance to synthetic insulation by offering the benefits of increased breathability combined with the thermally efficient that Primaloft is famous for. This new insulation allows for the use of high CFM lining for improved breathability and better thermo regulation. With higher CLO values then other Active insulations it offers the warmth of a static insulation garments combined with the breathability of active insulation.

How does it work?

To prevent fiber migration Primaloft uses a proprietary resin treatment as well as a special calendaring process to lock down the fibers. This special process prevents a problem common with super fine denier insulations of fibers migrating through lining or shell fabrics. This allows the Silver Active to be use with high CFM lining fabrics for enhanced breathability and thermo regulation while offering the thermal performance of micro denier fiber insulation.



What are the benefits of this technology™

PrimaLoft® Silver Insulation Active offers a whole new level of warmth in Active Insulation. With CLO values similar to conventional synthetic insulations it combines lightweight warmth with enhanced breathability without sacrificing softness, packability or loft.
