Comfortable and robust

Brought these for work as I work outside and needed something comfortable and waterproof, I did go up half a size and they fit nice.

It's the little things that make the difference. Like the sole curling up at the front to create ,a scuffguard. The v-notch at rear, which allows me to take the shoes on&off without undoing the laces (provided I don't tie the top too tight). The extra set of laces (navy/white stripes by default) of royal blue should I want to brighten them up. They are very comfortable, ready to wear at my usual size (US 11). [note that "normal" size differs from person to person. That is, the length of my foot warrants a 10, but I add a size due to width - so 11 is "normal" for me. Wider designs I can take a 10. I avoid shoes that are obviously designed for narrow feet] I've already applied SnoSeal (I do this to all leathers I intend to abuse) and there is no perceptible colour/texture change at eye level (the wax tends to add shine which is not always desirable). The soles have plenty of bounce in the heel, yet shallow enough at the toe so as not to impair driving. The tongue is a cushioned fabric, which adds a lot to comfort & warmth. They probably won't stay waterproof through monsoonal rain, or striding through snowdrifts, or puddles deeper than a couple of inches. But for casual comfort in most conditions I'll face, they beat other boots I've had. All this attention to detail means that it will be hard for me to buy another brand in future.
