Fourteen years ago, I bought the same boots. After that, I tried goyzers from other manufacturers. And now I'm back to millet bouthan gtx. As soon as I put them on, I had the feeling that I had always worn them. They fit perfectly on the leg. The thickness of the skin is significant, so they are robust and cannot get wet. They are also not too heavy. You really can't go wrong with these boots.

Slippers for trekking, comfortable and secure. I had a pair that lasted me 10 years with regular alpine hikes. I replaced them with Asolo, the sole of which gave up the ghost after 5 years and was less comfortable. To recommend. Compliant delivery.

I sent (both in time (about a week) and monies) searching-out my next pair after some let-downs with other brands over my previous 3 pair’s; enough so as to let-go or sell-on after a handful of walks per boot. I have never ordered from abroad before for such a ‘personal’ product as are ‘Mountain Boots’. NO complaints whatsoever (so far) with ‘InnTrek’, h o w e v e r . . . BE VERY WARY WHEN USING THEIR … ‘In House’ ‘Size Calculator’ It asks for your usual trainer make and size - ‘o.k.’ Mine is ‘Adidas, size 13’ allowing for my penchant for adjusting inferior insoles for ‘Sorbothane’ type. I selected both ‘normal’ and ‘wide’ foot-width options on two ‘fits’ … Outcome , w a i t f o r i t , … ‘U K - Size 11’ I haven’t wore a ‘U K - Size 11’ since I was in my teen’s - ffs!.. I would have to remove my toe’s ‘Messner - style’ to have ANY chance of ‘fitting’ s ‘U.K.- Size 11’. To say nothing of foot ‘mass’ -?!?. ‘ BUYER BEWARE ‘. “ InnTrek “ all of the above require’s your re-consideration - a.s.a.p. Apart from all of the above, delivery was acceptable for the ‘U.K.’ pice paid - ‘10 days and £7:00’s’ The boot’s actually do … “ Fit like a (well-fitting) glove”. I was sceptical of those claims listed above, and the design and build-quality is also ‘as described’. They are over double the purchase-price of any previous ‘mountain boot’ that I have bought before ; I am certain it is (they are) going to be categorical proof of the adage that … “ You GET what you PAY for “ … or even more pertinently , as my late, dear, beloved, ‘ m u t t i ‘ alway’s explained … “ Buy the very best you can afford - and take great care of it ; ‘ Q u a l i t y ‘ does not ‘ COST ‘… it ‘ PAY’S ‘.

Delivery was perfectly timed and fast considering I live in New Zealand and the product came from Europe in the middle of a Covid pandemic with that. Tracking was efficient. Product arrived perfectly packed, no damage whatsoever so just for that I strongly recommend Trekkinn which I did not know about. About Millet, I have never been disappointed, it is an old Alpine company with high end products tested in some of the harshest conditions granted outside Europe it is not easy to find. These Bouthan GTX are some of the best boots out there because they are super tough, super versatile and with a little bit of time super comfortable. It really is an all seasons, all terrains boot with amazing support and grip. Kind of old style but with modern technology and one of the best finish / assembly out there. The design is very smart if you have noticed compared with other famous brands there are fewer walls stitched together and this is one of the reasons why the Bouthan GTX is so dry inside no matter what you throw at it. The "hardware" on this boot is super high end, again it is designed to keep water out and the midsole which is usually a weak point on hikking boots is near indestructible. Few among the competition use such high density midsole and when they do it is often quite exposed by design. I have had high-end boots where the midsole gave up before the sole. Size wise, I go half a size above what I normally wear because I have wide feet and I usually replace the insole with a ticker model. And big socks. The insole are okay but worth replacing. I have never had a high end pair of boot with descent insole but that's because proper hiking insole are insanely expensive but truly worth the investment. Make sure you clean up and dry your boots after every usage and they will last you forever.

Excellent boot for the practice of trekking in all its slopes and with all types of weather. I have been testing them for different areas of the Asturian mountains and they respond very well in more technical terrains such as the Picos de Europa mountains, as more wooded, soft and flooded areas. Comfortable boot with wide and resistant last. The buts fall by themselves except, as with all, clean them.

I bought these (looks exact same) very boots maybe 20 years ago and hike in New England USA. Just now starting to fail (one boot toe now separating from boot, flap flap.). Great boot. Hike, heavy work, trail maintenance, 4 seasons. Weight about 2 lbs. each. I'm 79 next week.

I ordered 2 sizes to make my choice: 1/2 sizes above my normal size, which is the usual size for hiking boots where the feet swell. 1st exit in the snow: very catchy crampons, enveloping shoes, you feel safe, a little surprised by their weight compared to my old but you get done quickly. EXTRA!

Hello, I wouldn´t say these are particularly shoes for the temperatures you´re talking about. The interior volume is rather large in my opinion and I can wear thick socks, but for -20°C I think you need more high-mountain shoes.

Hello everyone Shoes for Pro MILLET Bouthan GORTEX For very low temperatures, tested MILLET Bouthan Goretex Hiking Boots in cold winds at - minus 15° nothing to report with good Finnish socks Insulation 2cm for the sole and 1cm for the top of the shoe, + addition of insulating wool soles. Cold resistance 99% or even 100% - Superb French brand shoes, very good quality ***** PALACE!!!!

I have worn the Bouthans in temperatures of around -10 C and they are OK. They are also OK (not unbearably hot) at temperatures well above zero which is an indicator that they aren´t a specialty low temperature boot. Minus 20 is very cold if its sustained and I´d probably try and get something specifically designed for low temperatures such a high altitude mountaineering boot or something along those lines. I don´t know how thick the insulation is exactly - there is goretex lining but not sure whether there is much between that and the leather (except in the ankle area). i would say there is probably not a lot - the rubber rand also provides some insulation. Also bear in mind that it is really important to have a boot that fits properly at those temperatures - if you have restricted circulation then that can cause trouble.
