Montane Medusa 32L

Designed for mountain ascents and ultra distances where weight is critical but comfort cannot be compromised. The Medusa features an innovative ‘Dual Tool’ clean system, which enables tools to be stored upright as well as upside down. Utilises RAPTOR TL fabric combined with a superior and lightweight MONTANE® ‘Comfort Back Pad’. The Medusa 32 has been used across the world from the Scottish Mountains, French Alps and high Himalaya and is fast becoming a classic pack.

- Constructed from RAPTOR TL fabric in the main body which is tough yet exceptionally lightweight and features a superb DWR and tear resistance
- RAPTOR UTL ultra tough, lightweight base panel prevents abrasion against rock surfaces
- Super lightweight HALO lining fabric has a 1m hydrostatic head and offers additional protection to contents
- GRANITE STRETCH skirt around lid for clean and sleek fabric hugging closure

BACK SYSTEM:
- Moulded MONTANE® ‘Comfort Back Pad’ features channels that wick sweat and rainwater away from the body and give additional ventilation

HARNESS CONFIGURATION:
- Waterproof shell friendly CONTACT Mesh on the shoulder straps, MONTANE® ‘Comfort Back Pad’ and inner hip belt facings prevent abrasion on shell clothing when the pack is full to capacity and with heavy use
- Two top shoulder straps allow the pack weight to pull close to the body and control the pack stability for the required terrain
- Chest harness with left hand clip prevents bulky buckles over the sternum and increases comfort with its low profile
- Body curve hip fins for strong comfort and stability when on the move
- Double tension waist harness for extra stability and pack weight equalisation
- Arm harness H²O tube attachment point

LOADING AND CLOSURE CONFIGURATION:
- Wide mouth central opening into pack with ‘Cord Lord’ quick release mechanism
- Space saving efficient top lid central front pull can compress down on pack contents easily

POCKET CONFIGURATION:
- Buddy pocket for front access whilst on the move features a stiffened lip to prevent loss of items if zips are left open
- Buddy pocket features reversed zips with zip garages for zip head protection
- GRANITE STRETCH tough bucket side pockets for water bottle and backcountry ski storage
- Internal security pocket featuring vertical upside down zippered entry preventing coin and key loss. Also features internal key clip
- Right hip head torch, gel shot, energy bar, GPS, mobile phone etc stash pocket

COMPRESSION:
- Internal top compression with reversible buckle over mouth opening for secure rope storage
- Symmetrical single hand side compression pulls lock down and hold contents of pack whilst moving

TOOL ATTACHMENT POINTS:
- ‘Dual Tool’ reversed clean fit technical ice axe and walking pole attachment system. Ice axes can be reversed to an ‘Alpine safe’ position for increased safety when moving
- ‘Dual Tool’ system has also been designed to easily accommodate a wide variety of trekking poles
- Left hip gear loop for clipping items of equipment whilst on the move
- Front central gear loop attachment point
