Montane Minimus Hybrid

Developed to provide high thermal insulation combined with stormproof protection. The Minimus Hybrid Jacket is one of the lightest garments in its category, delivering versatility and high breathability. Featuring the remarkable light weight PERTEX® Shield + fabric as its outer shell, it can pack down into a rucksack during cold weather activities and can serve as both waterproof shell and/or thermal insulation when required.

Construction:



- PERTEX® Shield + provides exceptionally high breathability at 25,000 MVTR with a 20,000mm hydrostatic head

- PEAQ Synthetic lining that is supremely comfortable next to the skin, highly breathable and fast drying

- 60g PRIMALOFT SILVER ECO insulation throughout that is warm, packable and exceptionally fast drying

- Micro-taped seams throughout increase breathable surface area



Patterning and Design:



- Technical tailoring to prevent arm lift raising the lower hem whilst reaching high

- Articulated arms with engineered tailoring to prevent seams constricting over elbows and biceps



Hood Configuration:



- Fully adjustable helmet compatible hood with three points of adjustment

- Hood visor stiffened with a wire on the lip for adjustability

- Internal elastic loop combined with hook on rear hood compression drawcord allows hood to be rolled down and stowed away whilst not in use in windy conditions

- Single hand adjustable elasticated face aperture with ‘floating’ cordlocks and internal cord exit for simplicity and improved functionality



Vents:



- Two angled core body vents under arms and upper back with YKK matte AquaGuard zips allow venting and increased airflow whilst working hard with a heavy pack



Pocket Configuration:



- Two deep A-line hand-warmer pockets with YKK reverse coil zips and storm flap protection

- Left arm sleeve pocket with YKK matte AquaGuard zip

- External sleeve pocket features a shaped zip garage to prevent further weather entry



Centre Front Zip:



- Full length YKK matte AquaGuard front zip that is highly water resistant and two way to allow easy access to climbing or rucksack harness and / or trousers

- Internal storm flap with rain drain edge behind centre front zip together with press stud to secure hem and prevent further weather entry

- Bonded brushed fine microfleece on inner collar facings next to mouth and chin

- Roll over beardguard to prevent YKK zip from contacting the chin or mouth



Cuff and Sleeves Configuration:



- Shaped cuffs with adjustable hook and loop tabs for ease of use with gloves or mitts



Hem Construction:



- Adjustable hem to prevent weather entry and heat loss

- MONTANE ‘penny cordlocks’ on lower hem sides to create a low profile for comfort under climbing or rucksack harness

- Approximately 28 recycled water bottles are used in the production of each kilogram of PrimaLoft® Silver Insulation Eco, which averages 6 bottles per finished jacket. This 70% recycled fibre technology is combined with a proprietary water repellent treatment and millions of air pockets for immediate warmth without weight or bulk, keeping you dry in wet weather.
