I bought 2 pair of these gators(1 for me & 1 for a friend), for a 50 mile backpacking trip to Kings Peak here in Utah. I checked them online & they were highly recommended. We were carrying 65+lb packs over very rocky terrain.

I loved my pair, they worked awesome. I never had any problems with the buckles coming undone, the gators stayed in place perfectly, and my legs didnt get too hot. They held up to slamming and scratching against rocks etc.

The bottom strap is extremely durable. I wore my gators the entire trip even when scrambling over the very sharp rock that is all over.

The strap nearly had any wear.Unfortunately my friend had problems with his buckle continually coming undone and so hed have to keep stopping to fix the buckle.

He had them on right but the strap kept coming out of the buckle. he didnt even wear them the whole trip(for unrelated reasons). He was a bit upset & wants me to return them for him. I hope his was just a fluke, I love mine.
