Bought these as spare for when my front points are worn down or break. Reviews of the Petzl Lynx crampons indicate that the front points are cast and break more easily than forged or CNC machined steel, so it's wise to carry spares with you. There are a couple of third party suppliers who make better quality replacements but they are even more expensive, so these seem like the only "reasonably" priced alternative...

Hi. Was just wondering if these points can be used/coupled to ''standard'' crampons'? As in, can they be fixated to the front ''bar'' of the crampons? Thanks

Hello, good morning, I would say no, since these tips are anchored in a kind of guide of the lynx model, and then it has the pin from end to end in the front part that is configured with a two-point or single-point; I´m sorry I can´t help you more, and I can also tell you that I only have these models of crampons, so I can´t do the test myself. Hi, these tips are specific to the Petzl Lynx so you can´t adapt them.. it´s not clear how you would like to fix them.. try to explain better
