Salewa Mountain Trainer mid Gore-tex is a waterproof, breathable and comfortable hiking and high intensity mountain training boots designed for everyone who is an alpinist to the core. This versatile boot provides maximum comfort, stability and traction in varied weather conditions and rugged terrain.
The exclusive dual-density Bilight TPU Technology mid-sole which enables the shoe to penetrate into the ground and creates a good friction against the wet rocks while you are trail running. The Gore-tex provides high performance and stability even in wet and slippery surfaces. It works exceptionally well in all sorts of trails. Also, the mid-cut upper provides maximum stability and smooth natural foot movements.

Beautiful design but, above all, a great quality/performance/price ratio. Highly recommended for hiking and trekking. Good construction and ankle and foot support. Maybe a little low due to the tendon, although they are comfortable. It's the second pair. With a lot of use you notice the loss of waterproofing (ah, if they had been made entirely of leather and almost without seams...) and the sole comes off or the midsole breaks, but the same thing happens with others. Recommendable.

I have used them in the snow, with crampons (not automatic) and snowshoes on more or less long routes and they fit perfectly and are very comfortable. Totally waterproof. I totally recommend them. They look like durable and resistant boots. Operational for snow and stone, not so operational for hiking as they are quite hard. For now if I would recommend them, it will be necessary to see if this opinion is maintained over time. The price is high but they are durable it will have been worth it.

Solid, quality materials. The shoe follows the foot shape and keeps a firm and comfortable grip. I have tried on many brands, and I think Salewa is universal for all types of foot shapes. Great product! I was inspired in the choice by my boyfriend who has a previous model. I was looking for a boot for the winter, since usually one is trekking shoes. And I must say that I could not have made a better choice. I used it for the first time, along a trek that I do often, with an altitude difference of 1100 meters and I immediately had a great time. I usually wear the 41, but I preferred to buy a 42 and I'm satisfied. I highly recommend them! Delivery arrived one day earlier than expected! Very well!

I received the shoes within the time limit specified in the order. Goods as expected. I thought the shoes would have additional removable inserts, but maybe the Salewa factory doesn't include them anymore. There were all common shoe sizes in the trekkin.com online store. The price is also lower than in Polish stores where my size was missing. E-mail information from the store exhaustive, I did not have to ask for info. The shoes are great, good quality. Despite some unfavorable opinions about the store, I tried to buy it and I am very happy. I will definitely use the trekkinn store for a while. com., especially since it has a very rich assortment. Try the first time in a long hike on the big horn (Gran Sasso) and they were exceptional, very comfortable, no blisters and super grip on a mainly stony and gravelly path. Double knot otherwise they will untie after a while.

The best gift in the world, they are light, they feel like a glove, comfortable from the first moment and they adapt to any type of terrain, paved or with snow, the sole has an excellent grip. They fit beautifully in snowshoes and goretex is wonderful, you can cross a river with tranquility that you do not even notice and after hours in the snow the foot is still dry and hot. I have the same size as in any other sneaker. For narrow feet they are great.

I don´t know how big they are because it´s not my number 41, nor 42. In mountain shoes, it´s always a good idea to use one size more than our number for non-sports shoes. The last of Salewa boots is somewhat narrower than other boots, eg Salomon. All the best.

Hello, You can use semi-auto crampons with Salewa MTN Trainer Mid Gore Tex. However we suggest to use universal crampons for a comfortable fit. Regards

My old faithful boots finally fell apart and my son recommended these salewas as he has a pair.Brought the from you and they are brilliant boots. Straight out of the box I did a semi-alpine/volcanic 7 hour tramp with a medium pack. Not even a hint of a blister. I have had various brand boots over the last 30 years and these would have to be the best so far. Very comfortable and I am so impressed with them, I am going to get my wife a pair now as her current boots are on their last legs.

Needed a new pair of boots as my favourites finally died. Son recommend these so I bought a pair from trekking. Straight out of the box I did an 7 hour tramp with these carrying a medium weight pack in mainy volcanic/mountainous conditions. They performed brilliantly. Super comfortable and not even a hint of a blister. I have had 6 different brands over the last 30 or so years and these would have to be no 1. Can't comment on wet weather though but I suspect I will be just as pleased. I am now going to buy a pair for my wife as her boots are just about had it.
