Salewa MTN Trainer Lite Gore-tex is a flexible, comfortable, hiking and high intensity mountain training shoe designed for everyone who is a climber to the core. This versatile shoe provides maximum comfort, stability and traction in varied weather conditions and rugged terrain. This versatile shoe can be adapted from hiking mode to climbing mode ensuring maximum comfort.
The multifunctional Pomoca Speed MTN sole that is made from Butilic Compound which enables the shoe to penetrate into the ground creating good friction and grip against the wet rocks while you are trail running. In addition, the EVA footbed provides additional cushioning and wicks away moisture, helping to keep feet cool and dry. And the stretch gaiters keep out trail debris, such as grit and leaves. The mesh lining provides high performance and stability even in wet and slippery surfaces.
It is the ultimate sport shoe designed especially for all adventure-sport junkies. Salewa MTN Trainer Lite Gore-tex is the answer if you are looking for hiking or mountain climbing shoes that provide protection, traction and comfort.
Designed for alpine approach and mountain use, welcome to the lightweight version of our classic MTN Trainer. It has a robust fabric upper to ensure good wear resistance, while the waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining will keep you dry and comfortable, whatever adventure you’re planning. The unique construction is made over a special last designed to ensure a good fit and the optimal combination of flex and support. This shoe is also engineered with our proprietary 3F system that connects the instep, sole and heel. Inside the shoe is a shock-absorbing EVA midsole for long-lasting rebound and there is a flexible ankle cuff and rubber toe cap for additional protection. Underfoot, the durable outsole guarantees reliable grip thanks to the Pomoca compound rubber and tread pattern with deep lugs and grooves. It has the versatility to cope with a wide range of terrain from mud and grass to rock, ice and snow. The climbing lacing allows you to fine-tune right down to the toe for greater precision in technical rocky terrain. Designed in Italy, according to traditional shoemaking expertise, the men’s MTN Trainer Lite is a lighter, 3-season solution for hiking, and faster-paced treks that makes no compromises on water resistance.

I was a bit worried about the suggested size. With Salomon and Adidas I usually wear 43.5. I chosen 42 and the boots fit really well. The sole is very firm, that makes them more suitable for walking than running, but the grip is excellent.

well made and super comfortable. the shoes are not too narrow, and the size is correctly as listed. it is between hiking shoes and approch shoes. so if you buy the exact size, it fits well (alpine fit) like approch shoes. if you but half size up, it is ok and more like hikeing shoes.

The shoes are quite good, but like all this type of footwear the type of use and the time are what decide. Very nice shoe, green less bright than in the photo, except for the laces. It is very comfortable, light, and after two weeks getting used to it, the tread is very different from the different salomon that I have always used and how happy I have always been, price quality. Sole that at the moment grips very well even if they are not vibram, michelin, or similar. Getting used to tying the laces again (the salomon system is more comfortable). Waterproof shoe, light, very comfortable, and because it is a shoe type it has its advantages and disadvantages, like the rest of the brands (greater mobility in the ankle set, greater lightness and comfort, less stability and less protection). Detail that I did not like, on the heel it has a sticker to follow the green line, it is not painted or it is from the rubber sole itself ... let's see how long it lasts.

Very good shoes, as usual in salewa, very comfortable. Optimal, light and robust. The sole IS NOT VIBRAM, it is POMOCA, for me this shoe does not detract from quality. The sole works very well. The color is less garish than in the photo, much less. (The laces are)

Tried on mixed terrain: dry, wet, mud and rocks, with 1000 meters of elevation. On trail, and off trail (rocks and gispet) The grip is perfect, the waterproofing too. On the slope, the shoe tends to deviate, but like all low shoes. The stone guard plays its role well. To see over time, but I recommend.

They are very robust and have good grip, the sole is not vibram, it is Pomoca, on the official website of salewa it is correct, here in trekkinn they have changed it wrong. The only fall of quality is the multi-colored band aid under the heel that is nothing more than a paper sticker that leaves the same day, a very ugly detail. Normal size following the table, maybe somewhat narrow the first few days, over time they relax.
