Salewa MTN Trainer Lite mid Gore-tex is a waterproof, breathable and comfortable hiking and high intensity mountain training shoe designed for everyone who is a alpinist to the core. This versatile shoe provides maximum comfort, stability and traction in varied weather conditions and rugged terrain.
The exclusive dual-density Bilight TPU Technology mid-sole which enables the shoe to penetrate into the ground and creates a good friction against the wet rocks while you are trail running. The Vibram® WTC sole provides high performance and stability even in wet and slippery surfaces. It works exceptionally well in all sorts of trails. Also, the mid-cut upper provides maximum stability and smooth natural foot movements.
The combination of stretchable, durable and comfortable leather and advanced Gore-Tex makes it versatile as it can be worn perfectly as trail running shoe or for daily use. A robust, lightweight and comfortably fitting men’s 3-season mid-cut shoe with technical ability for alpine hiking and long backpacking routes with waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® protection.Engineered for moving faster and lighter on all terrain, the MTN Trainer Lite Mid also performs well on rock. Its highly wear-resistant, but lightweight, TPU-coated fabric upper has suede inserts for stability and is coupled with GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining for durable waterproof protection without sacrificing breathable comfort. The unique lasted mid-cut boot construction includes our trademark 3F system that connects the instep, sole and heel to ensure a comfortable, supportive and flexible fit. I chose a size that was 1cm larger than the diameter of my foot, which was just the right size with about 1cm of extra room at the toes. The width of the toes is not too tight, so I can move my toes.

Really pleased with the fit of the boot and also of the shoe too! I ordered both items and they are really comfortable - defo a thumbs up from me - ordered UK 10 and they fit as is with a nice width that can be cinched closer with the laces - tried on with very thin socks and nice roomy fit so no bother with wearing thicker winter socks either.

It has been an excellent purchase. I have tested them in mountains of 5600, 5800 and 6000 thousand meters in the Andes with a temperature of -8C° and -15C° with snow and ice, and they are fully functional, but they do not have sufficient thermal insulation. I am a person who is not cold, I can stand the cold well and I had slight frostbite on my toes from time to time, wearing a single layer of merino wool socks. This means that these boots could withstand high mountains when they are not designed for it, an excellent purchase.

Bigger size than I expected. In Merrell I am 43 and this fits me as if it were a Merrell 44 or a Salomon 44. It takes me almost two months to get to Chile. Good product, very firm and well built. Its robustness impresses. The pomoka sole is not vibram level but it looks good. Recommendable.

Lightweight, comfortable, durable boots. The Pomoca sole is of excellent quality, I prefer it to Vibram, it slips less. This is the second pair I´ve gotten, and the old ones are still in great shape despite having gone all out with them. I recommend them.

Shoes of excellent quality and design! Reliable shoes. This model of boots is great for those who have medium width or wide feet. I have wide feet and they are very comfortable in these boots. The F3 system keeps the heel firmly in place. The boots are fully compliant with the advertised benefits and technical features. Size: I have a foot length of 27.5 cm. I ordered a 28.5 cm (44 EU) shoe and it was not long enough. The toe rested on the toe when going down the mountain. But the width of the boot is great. For the next season I'm planning to buy them half a size bigger.

Very light and comfortable out of the box. I already have Rapaces so I ordered Mtn Trainer Lite in the same size and they fit great. I haven't taken then out for a walk yet but the sole feels nice and sticky on my apartment floor. The heel feels a little wider than in Rapaces but not by much.

Hi there, I have just worn these boots everyday for a week in Stewart Island at the bottom of New Zealand, wet ground is the norm there. They have been outstanding and more waterproof than leather boots over the time too. Sole has been great too, but they are only a weeks use old so can´t give you more than than that. Very happy with them so far. I just have my normal size.

Everything perfect, high quality boots. It is best to measure your foot in cm and order the corresponding size according to the size chart on the website (mondopoint cm/ EU size). For example 26.5cm - EU 41/ US 8.5.
