Salewa MTN Trainer Lite mid Gore-tex is a waterproof, breathable and comfortable hiking and high intensity mountain training shoe designed for everyone who is a alpinist to the core. This versatile shoe provides maximum comfort, stability and traction in varied weather conditions and rugged terrain.
The exclusive dual-density Bilight TPU Technology mid-sole which enables the shoe to penetrate into the ground and creates a good friction against the wet rocks while you are trail running. The Vibram® WTC sole provides high performance and stability even in wet and slippery surfaces. It works exceptionally well in all sorts of trails. Also, the mid-cut upper provides maximum stability and smooth natural foot movements.
The combination of stretchable, durable and comfortable leather and advanced Gore-Tex makes it versatile as it can be worn perfectly as trail running shoe or for daily use. In addition, the Ortholite® footbed provides additional cushioning and wicks away moisture, helping to keep feet cool and dry. And the stretch gaiters keep out trail debris, such as grit and leaves.

Made for alpine hiking and long backpacking routes – our lightweight, comfortably fitting women’s mid-cut shoe has a GORE-TEX® membrane for durable waterproof protection without sacrificing breathability.The MTN Trainer Lite Mid is a comfortable and supportive mid-cut, 3-season boot that performs well on rock and technical terrain. Carrying more weight, means expending more energy. We strip the weight right down here by using a lightweight, but highly wear-resistant, fabric upper with suede inserts. The waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining also makes it ideal for 3-season, alpine use from higher activity levels in summer to rain, mud or lingering snow. The fit is what sets any boot apart. Our lasted mid-cut boot construction allows enough space to comfortably accommodate your toes, whilst ensuring all-day comfort and support with the right amount of flex. Inside the heart of the shoe, the EVA midsole delivers good shock absorbency and rebound. For additional stability and protection, there is a forgiving ankle cuff, a heel stabilizer and a rubber toe cap. Underfoot, the outsole guarantees reliable grip thanks to the Pomoca compound rubber and tread pattern with deep lugs and grooves and the versatility to cope with a wide range of terrain from mud and grass to rock, ice and snow. The climbing lacing, which runs right down to the toe, allows easy customisation for greater precision in technical terrain or more relaxed wear. Our women’s MTN Trainer Lite Mid is a lighter mid-top, 3-season alpine footwear solution for long-distance hikers and backpackers who want to shed weight from their feet but are not prepared to compromise on water resistance and comfort.

The boots are quite comfortable, I used them with crampons in the high mountains. Waterproof as the description says. It supports the ankle very well, I wear a size 4 Mexico, I bought half a size larger and they were perfect (I used thick wool socks and they fit very well). The colors are great.

The boots were satisfactorily delivered to my home. What is not specified in the purchase is that for delivery via "Mail Américas", you have to pay customs fees, a little more than 500 Mexican pesos, the only extraordinary payment (fortunately), other than that, delivery is excellent. The boots are more beautiful in person than in the image.

The order took 20 days to arrive and was not taxed, for that reason, it was cheaper than any entryway boot from Columbia, North Face and others sold in Brazil. The boot is beautiful, less vibrant colors than it appears in the photos, very well structured and soft. I have a torn ligament in my ankle and I felt a lot of stability. I'm dying to test it out on some trail! I wear a size 35 in Brazil and I bought a European size 37, it fits like a glove.

Super light and comfortable, as any salewa boots. No mistake in ordering them. Hope that the sole will be as good and long lasting as vibram. I have very narrow leg so my usual number fits ( even has some space for thicker socks )

This is my 4th pair of Salewa Boots (bought other styles here at Trekkin, because I just ❤ Salewa shoes so much). Need I say more? Description is on point. I went a half size bigger as I intend to use this shoes with 2 pairs of socks (which I usually do) and use it more during winter season. They are comfortable, sturdy and a real good looking pair of hiking boots.

I'm super happy with the boots. Light, flexible, incredibly comfortable. I recommend taking one more number, since they adapt perfectly to the foot and they pick it up by suggesting it to perfection. Perfect for both hiking and mountain terrain with more unevenness. Very good buy.

these boots are just lovely. they look stylish...the colours are just so good to see in a ladies boot. they withstood heavy rain and huge pools of water and didn’t let any in. they offer good ankle support and excellent grip. i was a little concerned about comfort having ,always gone for a fabric boot previously but they were comfortable too and guarantee no blisters...how about that! i did go up half a size after reading previous reviews and i’m glad i did, lots of room for my double thickness walking socks.

Bought a 37 for my apiglia, which has a precise 37, and the fit is perfect. Much depends on the shape of the foot: you have a narrow sole, in the case of a wide sole, half a size larger might be appropriate. The same applies if it is intended to be used with heavier socks, otherwise the shoe is excellent

I normally have size 37, this shoe is size 38. Fits perfectly! One size larger is sufficient for me.
