Salewa MTN Trainer Lite is a flexible, comfortable, hiking and high intensity mountain training shoe designed for everyone who is a climber to the core. This versatile shoe provides maximum comfort, stability and traction in varied weather conditions and rugged terrain. This versatile shoe can be adapted from hiking mode to climbing mode ensuring maximum comfort.
The multifunctional Pomoca Speed MTN sole that is made from Butilic Compound which enables the shoe to penetrate into the ground creating good friction and grip against the wet rocks while you are trail running. In addition, the EVA footbed provides additional cushioning and wicks away moisture, helping to keep feet cool and dry. And the stretch gaiters keep out trail debris, such as grit and leaves. The mesh lining provides high performance and stability even in wet and slippery surfaces.

Our men’s lightweight, nimble, summer alpine approach shoe for hikers and trekkers, who like to pick up the pace in any terrain.The MTN Trainer Lite is built to provide lightweight comfort, grip and stability for alpine approach and mountain use. It has a robust fabric upper that fits well straight out of the box. The lasted construction and moulded EVA midsole create a stiff midfoot with a flexible forefoot for moving quickly in rough terrain. This shoe is also engineered with our proprietary 3F system that connects the instep, sole and heel for additional ankle support. The heel stabilizer and rubber toe cap also add further protection. Underfoot, the durable outsole has deep aggressive lugs to ensure reliable traction while the Pomoca compound rubber is grippy enough for scrambling both on wet and dry rock. The climbing lacing allows you to fine-tune right down to the toe for greater precision in technical rocky terrain. Designed in Italy, the men’s MTN Trainer Lite is the perfect summer hiker with the technical pedigree for rugged, alpine use.

Excellent boots, I use them for climbing rocks and loose rocks; they glide only on wet trees and on rocks like a glove (if they are not covered with moss). My foot is wide, length 275mm, size 42.5, fits perfectly with a small margin, just right, I recommend it. I'm thinking about getting the Gore-Tex version as well.

The quality of shoes is good, as expected with Saleva products. The shoes are a bit wider, I usually wear size 43, but this model is a bit too big, even with thick socks. I should have ordered size 42 1/2.

I found it abundant compared to my size. Better a little tighter. I bought a 42 but it gives me the impression of being a 42 and 1/2 at least. If I assist you again I will take one number less.
