Better than the 'Speed' bottles imho

Not quite as easy to slip into the vest pockets as the 'Speed' bottles with the plastic cone on the bottom, but crucially these ones don't bruise your ribs when worn on a long race as the speed bottles do to me. The eliptical top also sits closer to your chest than the wider round tops on the 'Speed' bottles. When the speed bottles are 1/2 empty the wider top of the 'Speed' bottle casues the tops to fold over so the straws are no longer in the correct position. These STD 28 bottles are much better imho, the only negative being the smaller opening on the top for re-filling mid race.

Great flasks. Fit better in the smaller vests of Salomon than the ones that come with the 12L vests, as these are 450 ml +, while the second kind are 500ml +.

Great if you don't want to take your hydration pack with you when you run. I had cut 3/4 of the bottle and carried it in my hand. It worked out fine. With conventional bottles, it bothers me that the drink sloshes back and forth in the bottle. Super great: Nothing tastes like plastic !!!!

A well-known soft flask, I have another 250ml. The material is healthy because it does not contribute plastics to the water. The mouthpiece works very well. Two negative points: the heat sealing of the base can spoil material where we can and changes the taste of the water somewhat.
