The Salomon Quest 4D 3 Goretex shoe is a traditional model of a hiking boot, of high cane, that allows very good control of the ankle, which increases its stability, comfort and resistance.
This version has been created with High Traction Contagrip sole, whose adherence to the most technical and complex ground is superior to any other trekking shoe. But what makes this boot has no limit is the 4D advanced chassis composed of two materials in the EVA midsole that guarantee the comfort and cushioning.
The Goretex membrane resists at all times against the water and moisture so the impermeability could be said to be A since you never get to feel your feet wet thanks to its breathable mesh.
Although it looks very robust, it is a shoe that feels light even after several days in the mountain. The protective rubber on the toe works so well that you do not notice the blows of the rocks on the foot.

Very comfortable boot

This is my 2nd Salomon boot. The first boots (made in China) I used for 6 years before they showed use, wear and tear. This second lot of boots (made in Vietnam) have lasted less than 1 year before damage & leakage. The boot itself is a very comfortable boot and I would recommend it provided the quality of the boot will improve. Maybe Vietnam have not got the hang of producing this great product.

I usually buy 23.5 cm for sneakers and 24 cm for Salomon shoes. I chose 24 cm for these shoes as well. It was a good size that the toes did not hit. I feel that the shoelaces hold the foot firmly and prevent the foot from slipping forward. Loosening the high-cut straps a little makes it easier to move your ankles, which is great when climbing. The structure is such that the foot hold is maintained even when loosened.

The boots are as described by many on this site .... an excellent light boot offering great support & grip on all surfaces. Bought for my wife for Hill walking , first impressions are slightly stiff to start with but felt good & didn't rub . Would believe given a few more outings she will forget she's wearing them & feel as good as her last Salomon boots she replaced with these . Time will tell how the perform but first impressions are a great boot with a favorable price from this company....

The boots themselves are fine. A little firm, but I'm sure will wear in after a few more walks. The service was awful. I waited nearly a month for these boots and had started to wonder if I would ever receive them! I'm just glad I didn't need to send them back as how long would the refund have taken to process? Will not be using Trekkinn again.

I have worn this model shoe for about 7 years. The fit is perfect for me and I like the high ankle support and the wider toe box. Most of all the $ was amazing. Even with shipping cost I got this for .00 less then the store cost. Arrived in perfect condition . Shipping to the US can take a little longer then specified but well worth the wait.

Review is not on product as I have yet to receive my order that was placed 3 weeks ago. The tracking information has not been updated for 7 days now so I have no way of knowing where my order is and when it should arrive. All the tracking says is expected to arrive four days ago. Any time I try to get in contact with this company it takes an hour and a half to get a response in order to get no help. Will never order from here again. Hopefully the boots turn out great...

A whole 2 months after I placed my order and paid in full, I have still not received the boots that I paid for. After sending Trekkin customer care 7 different emails, they just say it is out of their hands, contact your nearest Post Office, which I have done 5 times with no joy. You have my money!! I even contacted the Post Office Customer service and they cannot help me. Or they tell me what I can see on the tracking site - released by customs on 11 Dec 2019. These boots are expensive. They were supposed to be a Christmas present. No customer care at all. I am so disappointed, I lost my money by trusting Trekkin company. Now word of mouth will work, because all my friends and family and whoever I get to talk to will know not to order from you. Very sad. Whatever happened about caring for your customers.

I expected from the reviews the product to be delivered very late however I was happily surprised as the boots came earlier than expected and just in time for my trip. I opted for half a size up from my normal size so 7.5 instead of 7 and I am glad I did because they come up smaller so this is the perfect size. So be aware i(f you are getting the ladies boot style) that going up half a size gives you space for hiking socks as the style comes up smaller and thinner than usual. The product is just what I need and exceeds expectations. The Solomon boots are of great quality. I bought them because I needed rigid high ankle support for a sprain I have and they are perfect. I can tell they will last me years to come and love the colour. I am impressed by the product and delivery and all round would recommend!

I bought these boots with less than a week to spare before my trip. They came earlier than I expected despite my worries that I was going to miss the date I needed them for (and the previous reviews on delivery). I am so impressed and delighted they came in time and with such speed. The boots are great quality and just what I needed. I have a sore ankle from a previous sprain and the boots have great ankle support and feel really solid. They are also very light for how big they are. I can tell they are going to last years and years! :-)

i placed my order on july 27th (saturday), it was shipped on july 29th (monday) and arrived the following friday on august 2th. the shoes were in the box, well packed and in perfect condition. size was correct, no complaints whatsoever. i was a bit skeptical before placing the order because of some negative reviews regarding shipping and delivery time but i am so glad i decided to take the chance because i could never have imagined such a quick delivery. i live in iceland so i am very used to having ,to wait a while for orders from abroad. and - by ordering from trekkin i wound up getting the shoes for €108 less than i would have buying them retail here in iceland! so, to sum it up, two thumbs up from me! trekkin is now bookmarked in my computer and i will be the first place i look for all my future outdoor gear purchases.

I ordered these shoes that I already knew because they had talked about it very well. Find at a very discounted price and arrive in fast times. They fit very well and wrap your foot flawlessly, I find them to be a comfort beyond compare! I have yet to test them in extreme conditions to assess their strength and impermeability. If something goes wrong I will update the review, otherwise it means that everything will be perfect.

Due to bad ankles I need the highest shoe. This fully meets my expectations. I walk wonderfully on it and without injuries! The only downside is that my soles wear out fairly quickly. I do Salomon boots for a maximum of 3/4 years, but I also walk a lot.
