I have had them for over a year and have tried them on all types of terrain, even ice and snow. The grip is good, on the snow they keep their feet warm and waterproof, while on the ice I expected more grip, and instead of the laces, which untie easily, I would have preferred the caps lock, which is why I give 4 stars. For the rest it is a good and beautiful shoe, very light, warm, comfortable for my feet like all salomons; I can walk there whole days and I am comfortable as with slippers. It is better for me to take one more number, especially if you have a large plant like me.

Salomon X Ultra models (they are available in several varieties - different heights, both with and without goretex, and with and without studs) are very good on the foot and good to go with, and they are normal in both length and width (I did not to go up a half size. here, so I must in some other Salomon shoes). Andbefales! But beware of spikes, so you do not go with them inside! The spikes help on ice and snowy roads, but they are not quite the same as the loose spike insoles can be attached on all kinds of shoes (the endless barbed-soles of good kvalitiet parties better if it really is smooth). Affordable here on trek cheek - but beware of delivery, and that there is Norwegian customs / tax.
