Instinct VS is a Scarpa men´s climbing shoe specifically designed for those who love accuracy. The design is versatile to adapt comfortably to new routes.
In each step you will find the ability of this Scarpa men´s shoe to adhere to your foot, regardless of the type of flexion. One of the characteristics of its construction is the BI tension system that allows the integration of the midsole with your feet.
To increase your protection, this model includes a patch on the toe that protects your feet, especially in rocky areas. Its closure is with a velcro strap placed on the instep. The version is available in a variety of sizes.
Built for experts who demand technical exactitude, the Instinct VS combines sensitivity and power to create a versatile tool for bouldering or hard sport routes.
Powerful Bi-tension randing with all Microsuede construction allows the shoe to dynamically adjust to different kinds foot flexion with no residual stretch. This means top performance for bouldering with longevity, all with surprising comfort. Special soft rubber toe patch for toe hooking.

Great shoes, this will be my second pair. Easy to get on and off once you get used to them. I don't feel like I can trust any other shoes now. My street shoe size is 43, I wear a 42.5 in these and they are tight but break in eventually.

This is my second pair of Instinct VS, using it for indoor/outdoor sport climbing, bouldering. All I could say is it perfectly fit for my style. My street shoes size is 41 EU, I go down to 38.5 EU.In my exp, this shoes will stretch out 0.5 size after 6~8 climbing sessions.

a great shoe, my third. all resole well and the other 2 are still going strong. i use these for trad, sport and bouldering, indoor and outside, though often use the vsr for grit bouldring. having ,used for a number of years i find i generally prefer these to the laces as they seem to retain a better balance of edging and sensitivity. a great all round shoe and comfortable. i go down 1 size from my street shoe in these and laces and 1.5 for the vsr. recommended

It's my third pair of instinct vs. The first ones bought 44 and the second and third ones 43.5. After two sessions on the rock they are very comfortable. You can put on new soles when they get worn out and look new. Perfect for climbing on a little extra plumb line.

A very versatile shoe! It's stiff enough for edging but flexible enough for smearing. The XS Edge rubber gives an impressive mix of durability, sensitivity, stiffness, and stickiness. Although I have narrow feet, it´sa very snug fit.

This shoe is great for tough bouldering because it gives good pressure to the toes. Also great heel and toe hooking with good friction and feel. Be aware the synthetic leather doesnt stretch at all so get the sizing right Highly recommended have had mine for a year and have another one waiting.

I use them for edgy/pocketed limestone such as Ceuse, they are great for standing on little stuff. Not recommended for gym, smearing and larger sloppy holds. For these, either take the VSR or the much softer Drago/Chimera

This is the second Scarpa Instinct vs that I purchase. I am wearing a 43 street shoe and on the scarpas I buy the SAME climbing shoe size. I find the fit great. This shoe is great for virtually any terrain (boulder/rope indor/out). Recommend it wholeheartedly!

I'm wearing a 47.5 / 48 and I took 48 for a level around 7a / b en bloc and 7c / 8a on track. My feet are wide enough, I take 45.5 in katana laces, and 44 in python. 2 sessions blocks of 2h with the moment, the size is perfect and I can thread them without much difficulty with a plastic bag at the heel, I keep them about 10min without problem. Good rigidity on the tip to carry my 82kg but while relatively sensitive what will probably improve even more with time. The 45.5 was maybe an option but I was told that I should not expect much relaxation. To have.

The Vibram Edge rubber makes this shoe stiffer and more durable than the VSR model (which uses Vibram Grip). Takes more time to break - the first times were unbearable. Afterwards it was tight, be better, and now (2+ months) it fits perfectly. This is a perfect shoe for all-around climbing. If you're buildering (and mostly indoor), I would recommend the VSR model.

A good cat for a broad form. Good for side and front edging in very thin strip. Ideal for a degree. I have not tested them on adhesion. They do not seem to give much of themselves. I bought two sizes less and very well.

awesome shoe for edging and toeing in on those really small microscopic bits. heel hook is solid. shoes are insanely difficult to get on to my foot, takes a while, but once they are on i feel like a gecko. long break in period, but worth the effort. definitely recommend these for anything steep or with micro edges. smearing however has been difficult in these. also, great price with decently quick shipping considering that they are having ,to travel across the planet to get to me.

Shoe construction is very well made, felt comfortable and just needed one full day of climbing to break it in. Sizing is same as street shoe so that was great. Sole is solid with good grip. Good shoe for bouldering. Overall, very satisfied with the shoe.

Both the instinct and the solution are very good rocks, but the instinct was easier for me. I like the heel too. I believe that the outsole is a little bit stiffer than the solution, but I think it will be easier to see.

thicker, more durable rubber than the instinct vsr, lasts much longer than shoes with thinner rubber suitable for novice-intermediate climbers who don´t have their footwork dialed in yet and are prone to slipping footholds (wearing the rubber), has a medium length break in time but the shoes stretch about half a size to fit snugly. Great solid heel cup and powerful edging due to the hard rubber, no significant impairment on the slab as the rubber does get softer over time. happy with it!
