Phantom Tech Hiking Boot is a Scarpa men´s winter boot made with Phantom technology that promotes warmth and protection accompanied by a waterproof layer that avoids spaces to filter water. turn promotes perspiration.
If you are a lover of outdoor activities such as hiking, trekking, skiing or among others, you will find that the Scarpa boot keeps you safe. To reduce impacts, this model has an EVA intermediate layer that minimizes the blows caused in each stride and promotes the return of energy. This sports shoes for winter activities has a Vibram sole to keep you stable and prevent you from skidding on any type of surface. This version is compatible with automatic and semi-automatic crampons.

After 4 different winter boots finally most comfortable, good insulation, lightweight boot for climbing, used it on couple of mountains and have only positive thoughts about these pair. Not so best for standing long in deep snow. But you do not want to stand long in deep snow anyway :-)

the shoe is super light and has a toe box that fits well even with wide feet. have size 44 for most of the mountain boots. that also applies to phantom tech. i first ordered a 44.5 phantom. because my age, scarpa ribelle tech in 44 with double socks is too tight. however, the phantom tech fits perfectly in size 44. even when wearing double socks. one of the boots was missing the lace lock for the laces. But it wasn't a problem because I don't think it's very functional. also the supplied lace-lock did not correspond to the picture. a plastic version is supplied instead of the metal version. Similar to the model at scarpa ribelle hd. the fit is great and the boot allows for good positioning of the foot when climbing. the lacing holds the foot firmly. The disadvantage is that you always have to thread the ribbon through the eyelets when lacing. at least with my lacing technique. but I can live with that. You can't lace the shoe with gloves and that's not a problem because I only re-lace if necessary.

Great boot, lightweight and mountaineering technique, a bit cold, but it is difficult to have it all, a small defect the zipper pull string when opened it hooked me with the cam of a totem and I ripped it off, better remove it or replace it for something that has nowhere to get hooked.
