Leggings turned out to be really strong and high. The photo did not give such an impression. Excellent fittings, well made. They are stiff enough not to slip from the shin onto the boot and fit snugly to the foot. I don't see a problem with adjusting the strap under the boot. Adjusted once and forgot. Gaiters, as described, are more suitable for mountaineering and high-mountain trekking.
