A new split mesh upper provides security through the heel and midfoot, with increased breathability and durability in the forefoot. The dual-density midsole is paired with an OrthoLite® insole to provide a soft and comfortable ride right below the foot, with firmer response near the ground. We upgraded the outsole with Vibram® Megagrip to deliver the ultimate grip on any surface, wet or dry. Generously spaced lugs offer excellent mud and snow release, while the flexible forefoot rock plate provides protection on technical trails.

Been running in Altra trail shoes for years but these are the kicking their butt I must say. Better fit all around with a snugger heel section and just a few millimeters of drop, awsome forefoot width and fit. Traction is also superior with the sticky Vibram rubber.

excellent grip, vibram on them looks really good and holds good on asphalt or soil, they are light, sturdy and have enough space for the toes, the only disadvantage is probably a narrower midfoot but it is solvable by an alternative lacing, so far I have only walked a few kilometers in them but I will test them in the mountains soon

Just the shoes I wanted - they are firmly attached to my foot, but at the same time toes have the room to move. The thread grip is also amazing, I played around on rocks, logs, and sand and at all times I felt really confident jumping and balancing. That said, i have not made any long hikes, (yet), so i cannot say anything about durability or long distance comfort.

US size of this shoe?

Hi! I would like to ask, what US size the Topo Athletic terraventure 3 is that you show as EU size 48. My experience so far is that US companies often give the wrong EU sizes for their shoes, the US size is in my experience more reliable. Thank you!, kindly, Ton van Oosterhout.

Have a look at Topo‘s own website, 48 equals US13 or UK12. The US size should always be a full size over the UK size, some manufacturers only do a half size difference between US and UK. I ordered the Terraventure in size 44, UK9, US10 and it’s accurate, still got some room but I prefer my Altra Lone Peaks. Hope that helps. Markus
