cannt answer for conditions in brazil .if you have good phone and gps signals it will work. be aware however that tree cover ,shrubs etc that the animal is rummaging in will mask the gps signal as well as net coverage. Quite often i have to wait 10 mins for gps to give animal locations. signal then drops out giving you a location that the animal was in. you go to that location but of courde the animal has moved on. Its by no means a perfect item but every time i have eventually tracked my dog down. you need lots of patience.. dont bother if you are in permanent tree cover.
