- Environmentally-friendly durable water repellency (DWR) VAUDE products bearing the Eco Finish icon are water-repellent yet have at the same time been manufactured without any harmful fl uorocarbons (PFC).PFC are part of a group of chemical compounds made from fl uoride and carbon, which humankind discovered several decades ago. Many PFC are non biodegradable, bioaccumulative and toxic, and suspected of being carcinogenic. VAUDE is committed to the complete phasing out of PFC technology. VAUDE products bearing the Eco Finish seal have been waterproofed without PFC.

Recycled Materials:
- VAUDE uses recycled materials (e.g. from PET-bottles) in the manufacture of this product. This saves up to 50% in energy and CO2 emissions as well as fossil raw materials.
