Combining the best features of their high-performance running shoes with the advantages of their more outdoor-oriented designs, the Terrex Free Hiker do not look like anything you have seen so far in the scene.
adidas´ sportiest products inspired the Terrex Free Hiker’s upper, with a Primeknit design that has received anti-wear reinforcements to protect you from difficult terrain. But Primeknit’s outstanding features are not lost by that, with a sock-like design that fits your feet perfectly and maintains the lightweight breathability that it is so well known for.
The already characteristic Continental™ rubber outsole in the Terrex series blends with a Boost midsole, thus completing a package with great cushioning and responsiveness as well as outstanding traction that will not be deterred by any obstacle. Various TPU reinforcements on the heel and toecap serve as additional protection against injuries and accidents.
Hiking never felt better. Every ingredient in these shoes aims for comfort on long-distance hikes. The sock-like build and adidas Primeknit upper hug your foot for an adaptive, snug feel with every step. The Torsion bar provides a stable, controlled and natural flex of the midsole and foot.

I bought this shoe to use it for my hiking activity, but once I put it on I decided to leave it as my everyday shoe. It's super comfortable and I'm sure I'll buy a second pair ... if a superior technology doesn't come out, which I find really difficult.

I received mine yesterday and went for a quick 4 mile walk to break them in. As I suffer from chronic plantar fasciitis, I'm always sceptical about reviews of comfort etc, but must admit, I found these to be a delight to wear. I will at some point replace the inner soles with orthotics, but that is just to suit my requirements. In terms of sizing, I generally have very chunky size 10 (UK) feet, and bought a 10.5. My next pair will be a 10, so would say they are true to size. Otherwise, these are tip top and I would highly recommend both the shoes and Trekkinn (it was my first time buying from them - no issues at all).

Did my research then shopped for the shoes. Trekkinn had the best price and the only one who had my size in the color I wanted. It to about 20 days to get delivered in the states, but it was worth the wait ! 20 min after they arrived I slipped them on and immediately noticed the comfort of the shoe and headed straight for the gym where I ran in them for 30min then did a leg workout. The shoes performed fantastic. I will buy a second pair for sure......

I have to say I was a bit sceptic when reading all the positive reviews, but I have to say these shoes are awesome. very light, they fit like a sock and they actually are "waterproof". I will definitely buy a second pair

I've only tested the shoe in urban conditions so far but I am very happy with it. The comfort is great and I really like its design. Hope trekkinn brings in some newer free hiker models as well.

Awesome hybrid sneakerboots! I prefer this more that my ultraboost in terms of comfort & boost. #feeltheboost more while downhill. The boost is easy to clean compared to my other running shoe boost, did wear this rough in wet mud sand. Check out my hiking video with this shoe on Youtube to see how I rock this shoe. Totally satisfied with this shoe performance, design & material wise. Hiking with style!

Out of box impressions - shoe is very well made and very comfortable, pretty much everything you would want from a unique hybrid shoe/boot such as this. Materials are comfortable and hug the foot - the elastic isn't too stiff nor too soft, doesn't dig, breathes well and flexes with the foot. First walk impressions were made during a rain shower, and my feet remained dry during the session, though the Primeknit material will allow moisture through if inundated. Would recommend for mostly dry trail conditions, pavement, gravel. Shipping was as expected - updates were delayed but progress was swift and worth the wait considering the discounted price of the shoe. Great experience overall!

Tested on moderate hike & walk around town, it does the job of 'urban free hiking'. Comfortable upper & much prefer the boost response in this compared to ultraboost. I wear UK8.5 on Ultraboost 4.0, UB19 & Pureboost, but for this I went UK8 & it fits well not too tight not too loose.
