Once you have subscribed to the service, by logging into the findmespot.com site you will get a link. This link should be sent to the people who follow you, from home. Track points appear on a map as you hike. Don´t expect a point every 10 minutes, actually a good half of the points don´t start, but on average there is still a position every 20 minutes if you set the transmission interval to 10 minutes. Overall I find it a very good service. The link does not change, it remains "yours", in short, there is no need to send a new link for each excursion.

You can only communicate via SMS from a US number, and you can receive SMS from anyone who can text a US number).

I don´t think there were any other versions after the Bluetooth version. The firmware can be updated via USB and a specific program.

Can I get a USA number with this phone for receiving texts from there? will be used in the Philippines

Using it in Italy I have a US number and I can receive messages from anyone who sends messages to that US number (so not only from the US, but from anywhere in the world from which you can send SMS to a US number). In Italy it works, I can send messages and whoever receives them in Italy receives them from a US number, and whoever answers me writes to the US number and I read them through SpotX. As for the Philippines, we need to see what the interconnection with the United States is like. Eg. in Italy I don´t pay any extra to receive SMS from the USA, even on my mobile phone, but if I send an SMS to an American number I pay separately. He must therefore verify both the authorization to receive SMS from American numbers, and the authorization to send them, as well as the cost of incoming and outgoing traffic.
