I've been using these since they were just "Speed", and my first pair, bought in 2003, is still going strong (well, with some repairs). They are easy to use, reliable, light. Classic design and materials, tried and tested by generations of skitourers. Recommended.

I recommend fasteners. Lightweight, comfortable. Works well on ascent and descent. The only thing in the kit is no installation instructions. Reliable store.

Tired of technology outpacing itself? I like to go back in time and use this simple and VERY reliable touring binding. Full pound lighter per foot than the ST rotation! Granted you have to wear a leash or lock your toe out if you are worried about loosing a ski.
