It’s compact and cheaper in price than GriGri, Nice colour, I would like to buy one more for my little daughter if Purple colour is available. It’s size is perfect for my 12 years old girl. Very easy to use. A perfect belay device, I would recommend to my friend definitely.

Great belaying device. Can throw a bunch of slack really fast, although it can snag the rope before you figure out the technique. Takes some time to get used to the lowering handle, it helps to put your thumb right behind the rope on the birdie. Feels solid and premium in the hands:)

Beal birdie is a pretty good belay device. Full metal components provides a firm construction. When pulling the lever, it is very easy to control the way to lower climber. Last but not least, the price is reasonable.
