I am a tall woman and I usually wear between 45 and 47 euro size--12-13 mens in US size depending on brand (13-14 womens but most often 13). sizing guide suggested 11.5 US. I was wondering if I should just go to 12 since i want to wear more padded wool or wicking socks. Also I am planning on walking a lot in England and hiking in Snowdonia in mid-June this year. Will these be appropriate---like not overheating? How much would that size weigh as I am flying from the US. Thanks. I really appreciate the help.

They are very light shoes and easy to walk on, nice and waterproof and the sole has good grip. Take them one size and a half larger as standard, then socks will also fit well. About 1.5kg

The boot does not have an excessively wide last. That is if it is a boot pulling towards cold weather, so I have normally used it with a rather thick sock.

This regards HILLMASTER II, since I did not order Hillwalker II. Size chart is correct. If you have got small feet, take 1/2-size larger than you used to! If your feet are rather voluminous, then do follow size-chart exactly! Tie shoelaces entirely before trying! You will have no regrets of purchase! Boots though are especially made for low temperatures! Keep in mind: they are hot and heavy!
