The boots look great, they are very well made. The very rigid sole, perfect for automatic crampons, also has a very good grip. The boots are very warm. Be careful, because of the internal insulation they are very tight, especially when they are new. So it would be good to take into account at least 1/2 of a larger number than you normally take for boots. I recommend replacing the round laces with flat ones, as they loosen very often. They are not very light, but neither are the heaviest ones. Highly recommended.

Extremely well made, robust and quality boots, really happy with them. Purchased for a trip to Mt Elbrus on recommendation of our travel company. They come up small, i usually wear a 6 in boots but bought a 6.5 and they fit perfectly with a liner and heavyweight sock. Delivery was quick - and TrekInn seemed to offer the best price.

I think the problem with the laces is not only their round section, the problem is also the material (synthetic I suppose) that has very little adherence. Another thing: the lace hooks on the upper part of the boot are very open and can catch the lace of the opposite shoe (dangerous). You didn´t say anything about this, Guillermo, and I think it´s not a minor detail. the hooks must be more closed like those that carry the Austrian boots.

The lacing material is kind of standard on these boots, to be more durable in humbling conditions like water, snow etc... I have the same situation with my Salomon boot. As for the hooks, I made a point of using them with gaiters since they are boots for snow and ice in high mountains. The use of gaiters prevents you from risking one foot on the other. Another option would be to tighten the hook a little, as it is made of metal that allows adjustment without breaking.
Laces come loose easily

The round section cord is not safe. It loosens easily and becomes dangerous. Why not definitely go flat section? Much has been said about this and this error is insisted on. The round cord really comes off easily, but it is standard for high mountain boots, as it is more resistant in this format. AND. Even used in approach boots from all major brands. For greater security, use a double knot. As for the risk of snagging the hooks, it is recommended to wear these boots with snow gaiters. This eliminates the risk of getting one boot tangled in the other and still keeps your feet dry, avoiding the delivery of snow or dirt such as dirt, gravel inside your boot.
