Silver Ridge II Convertible is a hiking pants that offers you comfort without comparison. The model, conceived by the Columbia brand, is made of 100% nylon, a fabric with which you will achieve freedom in your movements.
This hiking pants for men is straight cut. Its main advantage is that they have a zipper on the thighs that allows them to be converted into shorts with a length of 10 inches. Its structure includes partial elastic at the waist to achieve the proper fit to your body. The sports accessory has a security pocket to protect your small personal items.
One of the technologies present in the piece is Omni-Wick, a high-performance hydro absorbent fabric that eliminates moisture and in turn favors the rapid elimination of perspiration due to its advanced evaporation. In addition, the element has Omni-Shade that prevents the effects of UVA and UVB rays on your skin, as well as long-term burns.
When you´re working hard on those trails in changing weather, you need a pair of trousers that can quickly transform into shorts and back again. These are convertible trousers designed with adventure in mind: vented, with built-in UPF 50 sun protection, and made of Ripstop nylon to withstand tumbles and let you keep on trucking.

Cool and comfortable, it is a fine fabric, pleasant for the summer. You have to take one more size. I wear 34 and I had to ask for 36.

Columbia silver ridge are good summer pants. Not super rigid but does the job on hot climate and dryers quickly. I'm size 33 ( 184 cm, 81 kg) but convertible only has 32, 34 etc. From my experience, 34 is big so went for the 32. A bit tight but much better then the Millet or Lafuma I tried in a store. Shipping was super fast and the price was great.

Good buy - really love them however they feel too tight for a 28cm waistline. Recommended to get a size up (30cm) for 28cm.

I've been using Columbia's products for years, I really like their technical clothing, especially pants and shirts. I don't know why most hiking review sites ignore their gear, it's a great VFM. These pants are no exception.
