Haglöfs Rugged Mountain pants

Haglofs Rugged Mountain Pants are prepared for adventure and exploration inside the mountains since they have resistant, elastic, and waterproof materials that facilitate movements and protection, even in climbing.

These trekking pants have been made with polyamide, which is very abrasion-resistant and cool, with elastic panels on the knees and the back, where they used to wear more. Besides, they include a DWR treatment that resists light rain. The design includes button and zipper closure, loops on the waist and Velcro straps for a custom fit, straps with plastic closure in the hem, three pockets with zippers and two open pockets for hands, and a straight cut that provides freedom of movement.
FLOURCARBONFREE The durable water repellent action of our PFC-free DWR treatments comes from a hydrocarbon based, silicone based and/or wax based technology instead of fluorinated chemical. Irrespective of the ‘active ingredient’, all PFC-free DWR treatments used are totally free from all perfluorinated chemicals (PFC) (of course including both perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA)), free from other halogenated substances and free from alkylphenolethoxylates, including nonylphenolethoxylates. The possible drawbacks are that the oil repellency and the durability of the PFC-free DWR treatments may be slightly lower than for a PFCcontaining option and therefore re-treatment for water repellency may be necessary at an earlier point in time. In all, we use very good, environmentally friendly alternatives to PFC-containing DWR treatments.
