On this occasion LA SPORTIVA presents the new boots for climbing and mountaineering AEQUILIBRIUM ST GORETEX HIKING BOOTS, they present an ergonomic design that has a structure in the ankle area that protects the joints thanks to its padded lining and its 3D Flex System Evo technology.
It has a reinforced tongue that optimizes the sensation of comfort. The upper part is made of water-repellent and abrasion-resistant Honey Comb Guard fabric.
Its outer sole is made of Vibram Spring Lug Tech rubber that is compatible with your crampons for the winter season.
Aequilibrium ST GTX is the lightweight, technical boot ideal for via ferrata, trekking and crossings in glaciers and on mixed terrain. Maximum comfort is guaranteed thanks to the tongue with the soft snow guard on the collar. Exceptional walkability thanks to the innovative construction of the Double Heel™ heel: the very pronounced double-wedge rear geometry increases the braking effect downhill and allows a smoother rolling, reducing muscle fatigue. Durability and lightweight coexist in harmony thanks to the new outsole / midsole package with external Rubber Guard™ shell construction and internal foam material for accentuated cushioning and enhanced lightweight derived from less use of rubber layers. The shape is Ergonomic: enveloping and precise with TPU shells integrated in the toe and heel to reinforce the upper. The 3D Flex System Evo™ directional joint with shaped malleolus and abrasion resistant protection, allows better control of the support and perfect mobility of the ankle. The toe protection at the toe lacing protects against chafing. The midsole is semi-cramponable, the sole adopts a Vibram® tread with Impact Brake System lugs for greater adaptability to hard rock surfaces. Mountaineering in perfect harmony.

La Sportiva nials a great everyday boot. I've been using these in the Lake District for the last two weeks. Extremely comfortable with no need to wear in synthetic boots. Grip on descent is outstanding. Properly waterproof. Good cushioning. The Vibram sole is very durable.

One last! I loved them. In addition to the design and quality of materials, I find them very comfortable. I haven't climbed the mountain yet or put them to the test seriously, but in January it will be the time! I wear 28 or 29 in Mexico. My foot measures 27.5cm and is quite wide but fit, that is, not chubby. I ordered #44 European and the boot fit me just right using thick thermal socks. I walked for a while and they felt perfect and comfortable. Possibly I would love to try half a size more because if I wanted to wear a double sock I would no longer be comfortable. So that they take it into account. Always buy 1 or 1.5 size larger. beautiful

The traction are well made, light weight and sturdy. The honeycomb is an excellent designed resistant to abrasion. Waterproof -goretxt membrane says it all. ankle support and heel contour are well made and grips properly. trade-inn package are well protected.

After a first use for an edge run, the shoes left a good impression on me. Lightness and comfort. Small flat for the moment on the front tongue which tends to move and get in the way of the lower shin. I put it back in place several times. Good hold on rock. Not yet had the opportunity to hang on though.

Hi, I want to ask, if the heel to toe size is 25.5 cm or 10 inches, if I'm a man then what number will I take (including thick socks when trekking to sub-zero temperatures)?

I think it´s okay to wear thick socks at 27 cm. Also, Italian shoes are quite narrow in width, so 27.5 cm might be fine. I wear a 28 by the way with a 26.5

I use size 46 in all my shoes and using wool socks to walk with these boots I bought the usual size (46) and they work perfectly with both 1 and 2 layers of socks. (One of them fine). So I would recommend you use your usual size or at most half a number more, which would be EU 44 (10.5 inches).
