Montane Ice Guide

Designed for cold winter ascents, the Ice Guide Jacket is a mountaineer’s mountain jacket. Featuring a stretch PERTEX® Microlight outer shell for optimum body movement and cold weather wind and snow protection. Equipped with a highly technical mountain helmet hood and specifically tailored to work either over or under technical mountaineering shells for ultimate flexibility. Filled with deep layers of PRIMALOFT in the body, hood and arms for core body comfort, this is our warmest synthetic jacket by far, providing considerable protection in hostile conditions.

- Dual density zoned PRIMALOFT SILVER ECO insulation with internal baffle anchors: 210g insulation to front of body, 133g insulation in arms and 170g insulation elsewhere

- PERTEX® Microlight Mini Rip-stop forearm reinforcement for extra protection against rock abrasion

- Articulated arms for reach high movement and tailored specifically to reduce hem lift

- Fully adjustable helmet compatible mountain hood with three point adjustment and wired peak

- Internal tab to lock down and roll away the hood in windy conditions

- Soft fleece beardguard around face and mouth for extra comfort

- Two protected chest pockets for easy access to essentials whilst on the move

- Two deep hand-warmer pockets positioned well clear of backpack or climbing harness belt. Both pockets encased in PRIMALOFT to help warm hands

- Internal left hand side mesh zipped pocket

- Full length, reversed and baffled two way YKK VISLON front zip for ease of use with a backpack or climbing harness

- Internal half-waist drawcord to prevent spindrift entry and core body heat loss

- Easy slide YKK VISLON hand pocket zips for use in icy conditions

- Adjustable cuffs with grab tabs for ease of use with gloves or mitts

- Adjustable hem to prevent spindrift entry and heat loss

Care:



- The Ice Guide Jacket uses PERTEX® fabric which contains a Durable Water Repellency (DWR) as the first barrier to keeping you dry. Clean your garment in order to maintain this.

- Machine wash in warm water at 30°C/86°F with a mild detergent. MONTANE recommends that you use Nikwax Tech Wash.

- Do not use fabric softeners or bleach.

- Drip dry.

- Your jacket may need occasional re-proofing to restore the DWR. MONTANE recommends Nikwax TX Direct.
