Montane Summit Tour 50+15L

This mountain trekking pack is fully featured but retains the lightweight ethos of the Grand Tour pack family. It has been created for long multi day mountain walks, whether between huts or fully unsupported. Its unique removable, lightweight 15 litre daypack provides carry capacity for summit attempts or day hikes. Also featuring side entry and large side bellow pockets, this pack allows for efficient kit organisation whilst trekking and enables prompt and easy access to essential items, making it ideal for world travel. Utilising the same back system as the Grand Tour 55 and Grand Tour 70 it has fantastic load carrying comfort and ability. The Summit Tour 50 + 15 is a lightweight, fully featured and comfortable mountain trekking pack.


Features:

CONSTRUCTION:
- Constructed from RAPTOR TL fabric in the main body which is tough yet exceptionally lightweight and features a superb DWR and tear resistance
- RAPTOR UTL tough, lightweight base panel prevents abrasion against rock surfaces
- GRANITE STRETCH skirt lid side panels give a clean fabric hugging closure

BACK SYSTEM:
- Features CONTACT Mesh on the shoulder straps, MONTANE® ‘Comfort Back Pad’ and inner hip belt facings to prevent abrasion on waterproof shell clothing when the pack is full to capacity and with heavy use
- Moulded MONTANE® ‘Comfort Back Pad’ features channels that wick sweat and rainwater away from the body and give additional ventilation
- ‘VertErgo Tour’ back system provides strength, comfort and support for load carrying over long distances. This extremely lightweight back system can be removed for additional ultra weight saving and can also be shaped to fit the user’s back.
- Features a pre-curved horizontal aluminium bar across the top of the ‘VertErgo Tour’ back panel which provides structure for top tension straps to torque off

HARNESS CONFIGURATION:
- Chest harness with left hand positioned clip prevents bulky buckles over the sternum and increases comfort with its low profile
- Body curve hip fins for great comfort and strong stability whatever the terrain
- Double tension waist harness for extra stability, pack weight equalisation and ease of use while on the move
- Arm shoulder harness gear loops and H²O tube attachment

SUMMIT PACK CONVERSION:
- Top half of pack lid can be removed and transformed into a small 15 litre pack for summit pushes or day hikes

POCKET CONFIGURATION:
- ‘Side door’ style opening provides access into the main compartment for quick and easy access to kit. Internal mesh pockets enable space saving organisation and easy access to essential items
- Two large side expansion bellow pockets for extra storage
- Large top buddy pocket for front access
- Top lid zipped pocket for further kit and accessory organisation
- Two GRANITE STRETCH bucket lower side pockets for storage of extra items such as water bottles
- Internal security pocket featuring vertical upside down zippered entry preventing coin and key loss. Also features a key clip
- Right and left hip pockets for handy storage of GPS, mobile phone, headtorch, energy bar etc.

LOADING AND CLOSURE CONFIGURATION:
- Two shoulder top tension straps allow pack weight to pull closer to the body and control pack stability
- Wide mouth central opening with ‘Cord Lord’ quick release mechanism
- Extendable internal top sleeve for extra storm protection of contents with double compression closure on outside opening and internal sleeve opening with ‘Cord Lord’ quick release mechanism

COMPRESSION:
- Four symmetrical single hand side compression straps pull around pack contents and help provide additional stability
- Internal top compression over mouth opening for additional storage of kit
- Space saving external top lid front pull allowing for good vertical pack compression

TOOL ATTACHMENT POINTS:
- Two walking pole attachment points at lower front of pack
- Integrated pole attachment to top compression webbing straps for firm lock down of poles during dynamic body movement and for effective storage when not in use

FURTHER FEATURES:
- Reversible mitt and glove friendly locking webbing buckles used throughout
- Includes drawcords that can be affixed to front loops for additional stretch front storage
- H²O top right tube opening and internal bladder storage sleeve
- Includes versatile rain cover which can be used to provide protection from the elements or to cover the bag fully for world travel
