What sacrifices do you really want to make when buying a lightweight pack? Comfort? Load Carry? Features? With the Exos 48 you can put these tricky decisions to the back of your mind! The Exos offers all the benefits of a lightweight pack but without the normal compromises, making it the pack to push yourself to the limit, moving fast and light.
Our revolutionary ExoForm™ harness and hipbelt uses a dual mesh construction to deliver a comfortable and stable fit that puts a traditional harness design to shame. The ventilated AirSpeed™ backpanel will keep you cool when the weather turns hot, but still delivers a stable load-carrying platform.
Essential ‘on the go’ items like energy gels are easily accessed via the power mesh pockets on the harness. Keep other small items easily to hand within the dual zipped hipbelt pockets.
Conventional floating lid systems can be bulky and cumbersome but for the Exos we developed a neat ladder system allowing extended or reduced capacity.
If you want to really hit minimal weight, remove the lid entirely and expose the integrated FlapJacket™ feature that provides additional protection to the top of the pack if the weather suddenly turns on you.
Keeping your contents tight and under control is even easier with the adjustable multi-point compression system on each pack sides. Every element of the Exos has been laboured over to provide the lightest yet best performing product possible.

Functional, light, perfect!

I have had it for 3 years and it still holds up perfectly! I thought that the lightness, the thinner fabrics would make it more fragile, so far no worries (I'm still careful). With all its pockets, it is very practical. And on the back, I don't even feel it. Even for day hikes, I take it because it is as light as my 20L and having space is always nice.

I like the pack. It is certainly smaller than I expected it to be. But that will simply force me to be more concise with my packing. Looks and feels like a lightweight and durable pack. Maybe go for something else though if you are planning on packing a decent amount of gear.

Osprey Exos is the perfect compromise between ultralightness, construction materials and prize. I use my 48L for 2 to 3 days backpacking treks in the Japanese alps. Compared with other ultralight backpacks this one offer pretty much the same characteristics at half of the price. Plus, Osprey is a reliable brand. Recommended!
Versatile hiking backpack

I have been searching for a versatile and light hiking backpack, and it seems like I found that in the Osprey Exos 48. Whenever I received the product, I was much smaller than expected, but once I started playing with the straps, the bag began to open up to be quite large. I look forward to taking it on my trip to Costa Rica in the winter months.
