The PANTIN foot ascender is used with the CROLL, ASCENSION or ASCENTREE rope clamps to make rope ascents faster and less tiring. It is available in right- and left-foot versions.
Features:
Designed to make rope ascents faster and less tiring:
- used to complement CROLL, ASCENSION or ASCENTREE rope clamps
- design facilitates rope glide on the first few meters
- toothed cam with self-cleaning slot optimizes performance under any conditions (frozen or dirty ropes...)
- mechanism is totally integrated into the body of the rope clamp to help prevent snagging
- releases from the rope with a simple backwards movement of the foot
- easy and quick adjustment with DoubleBack buckle
- catch available as accessory to keep the rope in the device during rope ascents
Rugged construction:
- stainless steel cam has better resistance to corrosion
- Dyneema® straps resist abrasion
- Available in right- and left-foot versions

An excellent foot clip, unlike clips from other manufacturers, does not jump off the rope, with proper training, the rope is fastened and quilted with the foot, which saves time when participating in competitions.

It allows you to progress through vertical ascents more easily, the only thing that I would improve would be some type of protection for the tape that is under the foot since it is constantly rubbing. The floor and wear is much faster.

Good product to make the vertical progression more comfortable, comfortable and good finish. The only thing that can be improved is the color of the tape, which, being white, immediately gets very dirty; and that the tying of the excess tape when it is adjusted is not very well achieved, there may be a remainder of loose excess tape after adjusting it to the footwear.

Missing a belt guard that rubs on the ground and a slightly thicker spring.
Great product, but why Petzl has put white strap on something that will get dirty quickly?

Great product, occasionally the rope came out, but I assume I need to fiddle with the way it is strapped to my welly. Why on earth would Petzl have a white strap on it if you'll be walking around and it will clearly get muddy and dirty as soon as you do that.
