My first ever crampons! Chose the Vasak Flexilock after receiving advice from a Petzl rep at Kendal. Not planning anything super serious at the moment but will definitely hit some steeper ground as I gain experience, so there was no point getting something super basic, instead levelled up a bit and got something that can do it all for me for the coming seasons. Very easy to suss it out and getting used to attaching it, even for a beginner. Looking forward to the snow arriving now!

This is an exceptional set of 12 point crampons that provide versatile usage from glacier crossings to light technical mountaineering, but importantly are not climbing crampons due to the horizontal front points. The design of Petzl’s crampons I find superior to BD in that the anti-balling plates are mounted directly to the bottom underneath the adjustment bar for superior snow shedding. I will say however, if you are looking for this set of crampons, you’d be better served by purchasing the Leverlock Universal pair as they come with both the mounting connections for both boot types, automatic and non automatic mounts.

Good morning, I would like to ask if these crampons include both front and rear fastening systems. That is, if they wear the FIL and FILEX system for the toe, and the LEVERLOCK and FLEXLOCK system for the heel. Is everything included in the package or do they only come with the FLEX WIRE and the FLEXLOCK as seen in the photo? Thank you so much.

Good Morning. They are just like in the photo. They just have a universal system. To convert them into automatic or semi-automatic crampons it is necessary to purchase the remaining components.

Hello. I am looking for a pair of cleats for shoes without overhangs. I currently have the Lowa Renegade GTX and I have wanted to know if these Petzl Vasak crampons Flexlock were consistent on this kind of semi rigid sole? In short, is that the holding is good and that the spikes do not déroberont? Thank you in advance.
